Art is beautiful not just because of the final result, but also because of all the work that goes into making the wonderful piece that we witness. Every work of art is a story of passion, dedication, and love.
Brook Yeshitila is an Ethiopian abstract artist who just did an exhibition at the Ethiopian Embassy yesterday- and his work is stunning!
Brook was diagnosed with a rare, progressive form of arthritis that made his whole body immobilized except for his arms
The artist was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS), also known as Marie-Strümpell disease affects the spine and large joints of the arms and legs. Owing to this, he stopped painting for over 10 years. He then went on a retreat where he was able to find himself again.
Today he continues to express himself through his phenomenal artwork, sculptures, and installations.
You can find Brook’s work in Souk Al Marfa’s newly opened Museum Hub
Meanwhile, watch him paint the Burj Al Arab!
