It’s hard to believe that, in this day and age, there are still controversies between couples of different religions. For Junaid Shaikh – a Muslim, and Garima Joshi – a Hindu, their love story was hardly smooth sailing. They went to the same college in their home country of India but met years later in Dubai and fell head over heels. Due to their religious differences, their families opposed their relationship but eventually came around to the idea of their marriage. Planning a wedding is stressful enough without having to combine two different religious traditions so, the couple decided to shun tradition and focus on just having a great time.
