15 Restaurants That Will Be Open During Ramadan

If you’ve been in Dubai for at least a year, you’re probably aware that most restaurants operate only after sunset during the Holy Month of Ramadan. While a handful remain open during the day or offer takeaway or delivery options, it’s figuring out which ones do that can be quite a task. To make your life easy, we’ve done the research. 

1. Mint Leaf of London, Emirates Financial Towers – DIFC (04 706 0900)       

Trust this award-winning Indian restaurant to sort your curry cravings throughout the month of Ramadan. It will be open from 12pm daily with the à la carte menu featuring curries as well as dishes such as quinoa and black pepper vegetable seekh kebab and zaffrani malai chicken tikka.

2. The Surf Café Dubai, Jumeirah Beach Road (04 346 6292)   

You can place your order through Deliveroo or pick it up from the café itself as it will be open from 8am onward throughout Ramadan. This is your best bet for healthy breakfasts and fresh smoothies. Guests can dine in after sunset.

3. The Big Easy Bar & Grill, The Els Club – Dubai Sports City (04 425 1037)

Open for all day dining during Ramadan, the casual eatery’s focus lies on fresh off-the-grill South African-style food combined with spices, herbs and ingredients from around the world.

4. Reform Social & Grill, The Lakes (04 454 2638)     

The gastropub will open its doors at 7am each day. The lunch menu promises to offer its popular Angus reserve beef burger, fish and chips and chicken, mushroom and leek pie from noon to 11.30pm. And there’s even better news. The Saturday and Sunday Roast will continue every week from midday. 

5. Craft Café, Dubai Design District (04 514 9032)     

The D3 hotspot remains open from 8am to 4pm throughout Ramadan. If you don’t want to dine in, there’s the takeaway option. Make sure you try its two new dishes: the summer dream salad and the tortilla wrap with tender beef barbacoa. 

6. Doner & Gyros, Diamond Tower 4 – Dubai Marina (800 364)

Until sunset, have it delivered or do a takeaway of this delicious grilled meat. After which the only way to get a portion of the classic, mighty style or veggie doners will be at the outlet itself. Its Bur Dubai, Al Barsha Mall, DIFC and Kite Beach branches will operate from 6.30pm onward.

7. Appetite The Shop, Bay Avenue – Business Bay (600 546 654)     

Known to provide some of the best office food in town, Appetite will offer delivery throughout Ramadan. This is your chance to try the green gazpacho (made with avocados, parsley and cucumber), smoked date with pomegranate, feta and freekeh salad, as well as the lamb ouzi wrap and salted caramel cheesecake. It’s open for takeaway as well.

8. R Trader, Al Fattan Currency House – DIFC (04 343 5518)

You can dine in all day at this restaurant cum watering hole venue in DIFC. Its Trader’s Lunch will be available every afternoon at AED 95 for two courses and AED 125 for three courses, with menus changing weekly. 

9. Roseleaf Café, Dubai Garden Centre – Sh Zayed Road (056 644 9886)

While this cosy café nestled in the heart of Garden Centre won’t be open on Fridays, the good news is that it will be open from 8am to 4pm weekdays (including Saturday) during Ramadan. Kickstart your morning with a takeaway of smoothies, juices, specialty coffees and wholesome breakfast or place a delivery order through Deliveroo.

10. Pret To Go, Building 7 – Dubai Media City (800 7738)

Whether you choose to dine in, have it delivered or get a takeaway, make sure you taste the special menu items introduced just for Ramadan. Choose between the date muffin or zaatar croissant and pair it with a medium coffee for just AED 20. Or enjoy the other bites on display.

11. Certo, Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Media City (04 366 9163)

If pizza or pasta is what you’re after, head to this popular Italian restaurant at Radisson Blu. Open from noon until 3.15pm throughout Ramadan, it is the spot to get dishes such as seafood linguine, braised beef ravioli, mushroom risotto and pizzas with delish toppings.

12. Wox, Grand Hyatt Dubai (04 317 2221)    

This is your stop for all things Asian during the month of Ramadan. Open from noon until 11.30pm, the restaurant will be serving popular Southeast Asian dishes such as pad thai, udon noodles and wok fried flat rice noodles, as well as soups and salads.

13. PI.Dubai, The Dubai Mall (04 447 1757)   

And just in case you’re only thinking sweet stuff this Ramadan, PI. Dubai has you sorted. The pizzeria is offering takeaway service during the day only on its dessert menu. Basically, you can walk out with treats such as cannoli, classic lemon tart and Italian cherry cake with cream cheese frosting.

14. La Serre, Vida Downtown Dubai (04 428 6888)     

Downtown favourite La Serre will stay open as per its usual hours during the month of Ramadan. The French bistro and boulangerie will continue serving guests brekkie dishes such as eggs benedict and croissants and lunch specials such as grilled salmon and seared sea bream. 

15. Boardwalk, Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club (04 295 6000)

Mediterranean-inspired cuisine will be served throughout the month of Ramadan in the indoor area of this Dubai institution. Pizzas and calzone from the authentic pizza oven, fresh seafood prepared to your liking and its famous fish and chips are just some of the things available on the menu from noon onward.
