5 Reasons We Love The New Kite Beach

Avatar

Now that we’re in September, the countdown for beach season has officially begun. And with the totally renovated Kite Beach in Jumeirah, you should be preparing yourself for some serious fun in the sun!

Here are 5 reasons you’ll definitely see us soaking up the rays on Kite Beach.

1. The new jogging/cycling track

If you’re a fitness enthusiast, you’ll be glad to know that the jogging and cycling track on Kite Beach is now ready (complete with distance markers). There are also plenty of free gym machines available for the public and loads of regular beach boot camps. What better way to end your morning jog than with a dip in the sea?

    2. Epic food and drink outlets

Forget that heavy picnic basket. The new Kite Beach offers a massive variety of food and drink outlets, all just metres from your beach towel. A few of our favourites include SALT and Doner & Gyros, while Jamba Juice is perfect for a healthy sweet treat.

    3. Insane water sports and activites

If you want to do more than just lie in the sun and people watch, then Kite Beach is the perfect destination. Budding adrenaline-junkies can enjoy everything from kitesurfing and paddle-boarding to beach volleyball and windsurfing. There are also plenty of certified instructors at hand to teach you how to surf (for a fee, of course).

    4. Busy or quiet? It’s up to you

What makes Kite Beach unique is that you can choose between the busy – I came to party and be noticed – area OR the quiet – I just came to read my book and listen to the waves – area. The beach is so big that you can pick your ideal spot and enjoy some downtime, or head into the fray and make some new friends.

    5. Stress-free parking

We all know that parking can be a bit annoying in Dubai, but there are now plenty of spots at Kite Beach. The RTA’s paid parking (which costs AED 2 per hour and is free on Friday and Saturday) is probably your best bet, while private parking – charging AED 50 for the whole day – is also available.
