UAE has undoubtedly become a popular destination for Hollywood and
Bollywood movies.

Not only does the country benefit from this sort of subtle
advertising (they’re being put on the tourism map) but also filmmakers are
able to incorporate striking locations and buildings into their movies.

Plus, the constant cooperation of the authorities in the UAE tends to make
the filming process easier for production houses therefore making it a preferred
location in recent years.

That makes it a third consecutive year for the UAE to be featured in Hollywood films. In 2015 there were films like Furious 7 and Star Wars: The Force Awakens and in 2016 it was Independence Day: Resurgence and Star Trek Beyond.

The satirical comedy, starring Brad Pitt, Anthony Michael Hall, Will Poulter and Topher Grace, is produced by Netflix and Plan B Entertainment. It is inspired by late American journalist Michael Hastings’ bestselling book ‘The Operators: The Wild and Terrifying Inside Story of America’s War in Afghanistan’.

The film was shot across 20 locations in the UAE and included 500 extras representing more than 20 nationalities.
