Sheikh Mohammed was recently praised for a ‘surprise’ visit/inspection to government offices where he found empty desks. A day after this, as part of Sheikh Mohammed’s “keenness to give way to a new generation of young leaders capable of bearing responsibility for the next phase of development”, Dubai Media Office announced the retirement of 9 senior officials.

Since then however, this picture of the airport inspection was released and the meaning behind the image was mis-interpreted as Sheikh Mohammed observing an employee who was not working. In fact, it is an image of Sheikh Mohammed looking on in admiration at a worker do their job correctly.

In response to this mis-interpretation, Dubai Media office tweeted the following urging people not to spread “fabricated news”.
