The Holy Month of Ramadan is upon us.
This means Muslims across the world will spend 29/30 days practicing control with no food or water passing lips during day-light hours (with some exceptions), while people from other faiths have no idea what this feels like.
British professional boxer Amir Khan has announced he’s taking part in #fastforaday… everyone is invited to join in a day of fasting.
I’m pleased to be taking part in #FastForADay & supporting @barnardos this Ramadan. This Saturday 26th May I’d like to invite 10 London-based fans, from all communities and faiths, to fast with me and personally share an Iftar meal with me in London

You can tweet me with a reason why you’d like to fast with me using #FastForADay and then experience fasting with me on Saturday 26th May. I’ll pick 10 people to fast for the day and to have an Iftar meal with me personally on that same evening in London

Ramadan Kareem to all my UK fans. This Ramadan I am proud to support @barnardos & their important work with vulnerable children throughout the UK. The #FastForADay campaign will encourage people of all faiths to learn about Ramadan, fasting & charity https://t.co/o5izOlPXFZ pic.twitter.com/ADAEmUgzEk

Dubai has an incredible community. This could give everyone an opportunity to stand together, allow non-fasters experience what fasting feels like and prove the unity across all faiths.
For the city to come together and fast on the same day would be the perfect example of Dubai’s fantastic fellowship.
Would you take part in #fastforaday? We’ll leave a poll on out Twitter page, let us know what you think!
