The ever-inspiring Manal Rostom, known for helping break barriers, and creating an online community (Surviving Hijab) that empowers all hijabis is AT it again- this time, with a feat that’ll go down in history.

She and other inspiring ladies will head to Mount Everest’s Base Camp

Although this wouldn’t be the first time that the athlete takes on the challenge, she’s bringing with two women, some without mountaineering experience to take on the challenge.

Surviving Hijab ran a Facebook competition to pick out the TWO other women who’d join her on this journey

Video submissions were submitted to Manal Rostom, who picked out TWO lucky winners from the Surviving Hijab Facebook group.

Now, Ramona and Rama will take on the incredible challenge to support the cause and elevate tolerance and equality, according to Harper’s Bazaar Arabia.

Manal hopes to SMASH many stereotypes about Arab women

…Like the notion that Arab women’s husbands don’t allow them to do anything but sit at home, post-marriage, when one of the girl’s climbing with her has a supportive husband helping encourage her to succeed.

Show your love and support to these women

The ladies will go on a TWO-week trip, and the best way to support the message behind it is to keep spreading the message.
