Between all the depressing things happening in this world, there
are some things that just make us smile. This video is one of them.

The crown
prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum,
put a video of a baby giraffe (aka calf) on his Instagram page. It first
shows the calf nursing and then making its way behind the other giraffes on the
sand. Its movements are still pretty wobbly but it’s adorable.

A little
lesson in zoology: calves generally stand and walk about an hour after they’re
born. Within a week they begin exploring vegetation, but they nurse until
they’re around six to nine months of age.
