A Dubai pet owner is heartbroken after the freak death of his allegedly healthy Pomeranian on an Emirates flight.
Cliff Rozal arranged for his pet Snoopy to travel with a friend on a flight from DXB to Cebu this month.
However Snoopy unfortunately passed in transit, the Pomeranian died of ‘hypoxia, a lack of oxygen reaching the body’s tissues’ according to a post in The National and Rozal has been left shocked and heartbroken by the incident.
Mr Rozal was informed Snoopy had been dead for four hours, upon initial investigations on arrival.
In a Facebook post on the Dogs in Dubai Facebook page, Rozal claimed he was not allowed to take the body from the airport. In his post he tributes his pup as ‘smart, friendly, enthusiastic, sweet and cuddly’ and questions whether the airline is liable.
Emirates is investigating the incident according to the report.
