The fires in the Amazon Rainforest are out, although rumours about it raining in the forest are far from the truth. The rainforest is a massive area and only small parts of the tropical landscape are getting to experience the light showers because the Amazon’s climate varies depending on the area.
The stretch of fires in the Amazon Rainforest were identified to be the aftermath of deforestation and cattle-ranching. As MASSIVE areas of land in the Amazon were being cleared up to make way for cattle-farming and other agricultural business.
Our diets of which rely HEAVILY on meat and animal products are one of the main causes of the Amazon fire!

Just by cutting down on your meat intake or adopting a vegetarian/vegan diet altogether you can prevent many such forest fires.
And industries wouldn’t have to desperately seek alternative farming lands to meet the demands of such a humungous population insisting on more meat.
The Amazon Rainforest, referred to as the lungs of the Earth is responsible for 20% of the planet’s oxygen and it’s vital that we individually start taking steps to prevent disasters such as this from ever happening again.
Our choices have set the world on fire.
There is zero arguments that #TheAmazonIsOnFire due to apathy for the environmental impact our food choices have.
Prayers aren’t going to help.
Complacency isn’t going to help.
Only Action will.STOP paying for this to happen. #GoVegan pic.twitter.com/FbGWikRh3s
