Surprise, surprise inspection day is here folks!
Earlier this morning, Monday July 1 – HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai had announced his big plans for all UAE government centres.
More than 600 government centres will be evaluated over the course of the next two months for the quality of their services and their behavior with customers. From this it will be further examined which centres are performing well and which are underachieving within their sector.
These results will then go on to get published by September 14, 2019 and the public will then be able to review the ranks of these government offices from the worst to the best. From which the best five will be celebrated and the worst five will be… well not celebrated.
Translates to: “We are now starting to evaluate the services of 600 government service centers. On September 14th we will announce the worst five service centers and the top five… And my message to all the officials We will not be satisfied with the world’s first place in our services and all our facilities”
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum
High Highness was not pleased with the underperforming centres and staff and has pledged to remove all that do not perform up to the mark
In efforts to get UAE in the top position worldwide in terms of facilities and services His Highness will be conducting frequent and unexpected check ups on a regular basis to monitor the level of productivity and efficiency within government sectors.
The criticism was aroused by His Highness when he had inspected the Dubai International airport and had raised concerns on the manner in which travelers are being greeted.
He had warned the staff to be extra welcoming towards travelers and to simplify procedures as much as possible.
Incidents such as these had prompted the Vice President of Dubai to urge on making all public services progresses and regulations transparent to the public which could then help in enhancing the customer service within the country.
