This week Dubai hosted events ranging from everyone’s favourite geek-fest Comic Con, to Christopher Bailey’s Burberry celebration, ‘The Art of the Trench’; delivering us a whole host of celebrities from superheroes to the glitterati from the world over.
Burberry’s chief creative and chief executive officer Christopher Bailey hosted a party in the brand’s flagship store in the Mall of the Emirates to celebrate the ‘Art of the Trench,’ in the Middle East.
Suki Waterhouse has been here work, work, working to help promote Burberry’s ‘Art of the Trench’ campaign.
Not to be out done, Russian model Viki Odintcova has also been here seeing the sights of Dubai from helicopters and ziplines. This model work looks like great fun to us.
Model and actress Elisa Sednaoui Dellal was here for the Burberry celebration. She can tick off artistic photo with the Burj in the background from her to-do list now.
Sam Faiers has been here holidaying with her her husband and baby on their first family holiday. The baby looks chuffed to bits to be out of Essex!
The Essex invasion continues this week as Sam’s TOWIE co-stars Jess Wright and mum Carol Wright, have been here vaycaying with Jess’ little sister Natalya. They visited the aquarium at Atlantis on The Palm and Carol shared a video of the famous fountains in downtown. Thanks for not using the term reem to describe the fountains Carol.
Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram headlined at the Global Village.
Yalla any time you want Nancy.
The Burberry fashion event was responsible for bringing more singing talent to Dubai this week…and adding some purple to the Madinat Jumeirah in the form of Lebanese singer Nina Abdel Malak
Singer Tinie Tempah has been here getting deep.
It was Written in the Stars that he’d also visit a tiger whilst out here but we’ve had our fair share of rappers hanging out with tigers over the last few weeks.
Judging by this photo of Tinie we think we might have some competition for celeb papping.

Daryl McDaniels of Run DMC fame was also in town for the comic event of the year. You’re more than welcome to Walk This Way again soon Daryl.
Randy Orton was one of the celebrities here to take part in the Middle East’s Comic Con. Luckily for the bloke sitting next to him, Randy resisted the temptation to RKO anyone through the table (as far as we know).
Also at Comic Con was Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, better known for his role as Jamie Lannister in Game of Thrones.
Nikolaj replaced his throne with a comfortable looking purple number in the Sofitel Downtown hotel…personally we prefer it.
It was only a fleeting visit but once again the people of Dubai proved to be their accommodating selves. We think you’re wonderful too Nikolaj!
to all the wonderful people I met at @MEFCC and in Dubai. THANK YOU !

Another actor who flew in for the event was Back to the Future’s mad scientist Doc Brown, played by Christopher Lloyd. Unfortunately he didn’t fly here in his DeLorean time machine, however we think that an Emirates flight is probably slightly more comfortable – good call Christopher!
Nick Frost also attended Comic Con, although by the looks of it he wasn’t just consuming comics whilst out here. If he finished all of this lot then he must’ve resembled a zombie from Shaun of the Dead the next morning!
Summer Glau joined the host of stars at Comic Con – we wouldn’t mind being a Firefly on the wall in the dressing room whilst these three heroes were catching up.
With the WWE Dune Bash set to take place tomorrow night, expect an influx of muscles to descend on Dubai in the next few days. Former WWE Diva Champion is looking forward to it!
On route to Dubai!! ✈️✈️✈️✈️
