Khalid Al Ameri Credits Sultan Al Qassemi For Being An Inspiration In This Touching Twitter Thread
A recent tweet from prominent UAE commentator Sultan Al-Qassemi drew a touching response.
The New York uni educated and Yale University ‘World Fellow 2018’ recipient is currently working on a presentation for the prestigious university, in it he wondered what he had done, ‘tried to do and failed to do in order to contribute to a “good society.”
And the touching response on his Twitter feed from so many was his answer
I am working on a presentation for Yale on what I did, and tried to do and failed to do in order to contribute to a “good society.” Going over old articles, it’s making me quite nostalgic (also I *had* guts. Who was that guy?!)

Al- Qassemi took a 12-month break from Twitter in 2017
Disappearing from the social media site with no explanation to his over 500k followers, his absence was noted. However, Twitter rejoiced when he reappeared in July.
If you go dark online for a year and a large cohort of people recognize your absence, I would say what you tried to do was pretty darn effective.
