We’ve run a couple of stories before about Sheikh Hamdan, our incredibly popular Crown Prince, and every time we do the response is aammmaaaazzzzzing. The internet can’t get enough of him (which suits us just fine here at the Lovin office because neither can we).
Here is the A – Z of everything you could possibly EVER need to know about Fazza (because 10 things weren’t enough).
Or Epsom Derby, Newmarket, Meydan or basically anything equestrian. His father HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai founded Godolphin, a global thoroughbred breeding and horseracing stable, and as a family they regularly attend race meets. Most recently, at the beginning of this month, they were spotted at Newmarket, in the UK.

Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Sheikh Hamdan’s eldest brother, tragically passed away from a heart attack in September of last year, aged 33. Fazza regularly posts memories of his older brother to his Instagram account, and penned a poem in his brother’s honour which can also be found on his Instagram page.

As well as his title role as Crown Prince, Fazza has assumed a governmental role as Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, a government body responsible for establishing and executing Dubai’s strategic comprehensive development plans. Working closely with his father H.H. Sheikh Mohammed, he has been actively involved in the ‘Dubai 2021 Plan’.
Like you wouldn’t believe it. Fazza has no fear. You’ll find him skydiving, bossing endurance races, (See: O) driving fast cars, ziplining past the Burj, sitting ON TOP of the Burj, hover boarding, flyboarding, Spartan racing, befriending wild cats (Read: lions and tigers), ice walking, snowboarding, wing walking…the list is ENDLESS.

Fazza is a Snapchat king…worldwide. Snapchat awarded personalised emoji’s to the top 100 ‘global personalities’ – a term Snapchat used to help people discover interesting personalities on the app – and of course Fazza was one of them. Find him at Faz3 – his emoji is a horse.
Because Fazza’s got millions of them. Literally. At the last count, his Instagram page has 3.5 million followers while his Twitter page has about 1.6 million. Fazza’s different social networking accounts give followers a real insight into his day-to-day life which is a first for royals in our (or any) generation.

Ghost is one of the cutest white lion cubs we have ever seen in our entire lives. Ghost joined Fazza’s collection of pets (yes, seriously) a couple of months back and Fazza recorded the whole thing on his Snapchat story. This is not his first wild cat however, he has another white lion called Flame and a tiger called Frosty.

Photography is one of Hamdan’s greatest passions, and his Instagram is proof that he’s pretty talented. To share his passion he founded the Hamdan International Photography Award; (HIPA) in 2011, a prize which awards up to $120,00 for the most awe-inspiring pictures every year. One of the 2015 themes was ‘life in colour’ – below is one of the pictures submitted.
Ice walking was just one of the cool activities Fazza attempted when he visited New Zealand last year.
Jet Man, also known as Yves Rossy, shot to fame when his YouTube videos, in which he flies over Dubai on a pair of jet-propelled wings, went viral. In partnership with Sheikh Hamdan, the duo first released a video in December 2014 which reached 100,000 views in less than a day. Since then, Jet Man has gone on to perform a stunt alongside an Emirates Airbus A380 which immediately went viral also…and who was snapping pics from inside the plane? Only Fazza and Maj, (See: M), of course.
For the time when Fearless Fazza took this UNREAL video of himself standing on top of the Burj Khalifa…something few people in the world will ever have the pleasure (or guts!) to do. (Click to watch).

Sheikh Hamdan is son of H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum. He is a descendant of His Highness Late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the founder of modern Dubai.
Arguably the cutest royal around, (this tot even has his own Instagram page) Maj is constantly seen in Hamdan’s Snapchats and features prominently on his Instagram page. Maj is famously known as one of Hamdan’s best friends, regularly accompanying him on his travels.

Fazza is, in fact the pen name Sheikh Hamdan uses when composing Nabati poetry (Nabati is a local form of Arabic). He describes his poetry as…
“My identity and poetic character through which I humbly attempt to rekindle joy in the hearts of people, alleviate their suffering in my own simple way. I express their hopes and aspirations.”
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid
That’s the number of km’s Fazza had to complete before taking home the gold medal in the HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Endurance Cup. He has won the title twice, and is one of only four riders ever to do so.

As in Crown Prince, heir apparent to the throne and future ruler of Dubai.
Once his secondary and military training were complete, (See: R and S) Fazza enrolled in several specialized training programs in economics at the London School of Economics and later at the Dubai School of Government.
The Rashid Private School for Boys, Dubai – where Fazza was educated and where he completed his primary and secondary studies.
After finishing his secondary education, Fazza completed his military training at Sandhurst Military Academy, the very same academy attended by Prince William and Prince Harry, wouldn’t you know.
Dubai is a stunning city and nobody captures it better than Fazza. You can see more on his Instagram page but here is one of our personal favourites.

Information about Fazza’s personal (Read: romantic) life is completely unknown…sorry girls.
Fazza has been snapped in some pretty incredible vehicles over the years. Everything from skidoos, quad bikes, jet-skis, helicopters and two-men open airplanes, to some of the most impressive supercars in the world.
In the past year, Fazza has spent time in the US, Canada, Tanzania, New Zealand, Uzbekistan, Italy, France and the UK; so it’s fair to say that he’s eager to get to know the world.

…it means ‘razor-sharp,’ which is how Fazza looks in a suit. We might be clutching at straws with this one, any better suggestions are always welcome?!
Fazza has two. ‘The Smeralda’ (77 metres) and ‘The Dubawi’ (88 metres). The world’s third biggest yacht (pictured) also happens to belong to his Dad, Sheikh Mohammed. This mega-yacht, which is moored in Dubai, includes a swimming pool, cinema, night club, landing platform for a Blackhawk helicopter, a gym and a garage for the yacht’s submarine (we wonder if Fazza ever had a go in that?!)
…Sheikh Zayed Road to be exact. Hamdan has been spotted cruising down the SZR in the G63 AMG Mercedes along with his father HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who the car belongs to. Look out for the special number plate below.
