Tolls Confirmed: Here’s How Much The New Toll Gates in Abu Dhabi Will Cost Drivers

Following days of speculation, Abu Dhabi authorities have confirmed toll gates will be introduced this year.

Four toll gates will be placed across the capital and the pricing scheme will come into effect on October 15 for gates located at Sheikh Zayed Bridge, Sheikh Khalifa Bridge, Mussafah Bridge and Maqta.

The pricing system is similar to Dubai’s Salik

Peak hours are between 7am and 9am and 5pm and 7pm and it will cost AED4 versus AED2 during non-peak hours, weekends and public holidays, according to local reports.

Fees are capped at AED16 per vehicle per day.

Motorists would need to register in advance of the toll at a cost of AED100 (AED50 of this can be used for road credit).

The fines range from AED100 (first day), AED200 (second day), AED400 (third day), the ‘AED400 with a max of AED10,000’.
