Back In February, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum approved the design for a new tower to be built on the banks of Dubai Creek.
Today we have new pictures that shows exactly what it will look like…this comes after it was announced that the new tower will be taller than Burj Khalifa, although the exact height is yet to be revealed.

The tower, which will be built by EMAAR, will combine aspects of both modern and Islamic architecture in whats sure to be a spectacular design. Although we still do not know what it will be called, Sheikh Mohammed has said that the tower will be an par with both the Burj Khalifa and the Eiffel Tower, in Paris, and that it will be a unique architectural masterpiece (hear hear).
Sheikh Mohammad, alongside Mohammad Ali Al Abbar, Chairman of Emaar, and Fadel Al Ali, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Holding, paid a visit to an exhibition held at the Burj Khalifa where six global engineering consultancy companies were competing to design the new tower. After reviewing all the designs, Sheikh Mohammed approved the design created by Spanish designer Santiago Calatrava Valls who is also well known for his work on Chicago Spire Tower and the Olympic Sports Complex in Athens.
The new observation tower, will be linked to the central island district of Dubai Creek Harbour, is set to be the new tourist hub within the Creek area however exact details on what will be offered inside the tower are yet to be released.
