On his 9th birthday, the medical team cheered the exit of the youngest ICU patient at the Sheikh Khalifa Medical. We’re not crying, you are.

9. This video was captured during the Beirut explosions

It shows a nanny putting her own life in danger to save a child. The August 4 blasts in the Lebanese capital caused 204 deaths, 6,500 injuries, left over 300,000 people homeless and untold damage to the Lebanese nation.

We’ll all remember where we were when we first heard about the explosions, the uncertainty that followed and the countless phonecalls DXB residents made to family and loved ones in Lebanon to make sure they were okay.
