Dubai’s first Poke shop opened earlier this year, and while the trend is a slow starter, it’s clear these little bowls of sweet and salty goodness will eventually make their mark on the health food market here.

Originally a Hawaiian dish, the raw fish salad (you’ll find mostly tuna or salmon options here) comes with a whole assortment of healthy add-ons and sauces to make up these special bowls.

Nervous to try a Poke bowl? Try the simplified Cali version here for AED 37. Or the Samurai Poke for AED 45 on a bed of rice layered with shrimp tempura and salmon then topped with crabstick salad, avocado, cream cheese and spicy mayo is for the more adventurous.

While the Poke bowl menu for AED 55 is build your own, the staff here have the know-how to pick you something great depending on one or two choices from you. Simples.

The number one spot has got to go to Poke Poke, the mother of all Poke shops in the UAE.

Priced between AED 50 and AED 70, the variety of toppings here in phenomenal. Grab one of their signature Poke bowls to be totally satisfied your first Dubai Poke bowl experience is a good ‘un.
