You have your tried and tested date spots but now you’re looking for something different.
And because there are only so many times you can visit the cinema (indoor, outdoor, VIP, you’ve tried it all) and you’re sick of going out to eat (you’re not actually, but you’ve used up your cheat days for approximately the next six months), we’ve decided to list some of the best quirky date options in Dubai that you may not have thought of…
Skip dinner and head to this chilled spot in JLT. Rails is perfect for a date or perfect for a group of friends to go and hang out. Try your hand at snooker, PS4, foosball or network games…which are all pretty reasonably priced, with a game of foosball costing only AED 3 and an hour of PS4 costing AED 40….Handy information with pay day still a couple of days away.
Located at Red Diamond Building, Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT), Dubai – 04-4237742 – info@rails.ae
Get a unique view of the Dubai skyline from Dubai’s famous Yellow Boats. They depart daily from the Marina at 6pm, just in time for sunset. The captain of the boat will take you on a 90 minute trip that cruises through the Palm Jumeirah and offers incredible views of the Atlantis hotel and the Burj Al Arab.
The tour costs AED 280 per adult; AED 210 per child and the night tours will run from Monday October 24 to Monday October 31
First, check your date is a cat person. If they are, take them here. Dubai’s first Cat Cafe is pretty self-explanatory…here you can grab a quick coffee or a bite to eat, all in the presence of some feline company. Check here for more details and to see all the cats that call Ailuromania their home.
Entry charge AED 30, includes a soft drink of your choice.
Admittedly there’s nothing much ‘quirky’ about visiting an opera, but a visit to Dubai’s newest performing arts centre is sure to impress any date. Whether your interest lies in classical music, magic or soul music, there’s something to suit all tastes in the coming months. Family musical and theatre act the Impossible takes the stage this week, legendary composer Omar Khairat is performing October 6th and soul and pop crooner James Morrison is set to melt some hearts on October 7th.
