7 People Were Arrested And Fined AED50,000 For Practicing Sorcery In The UAE

There is no question whether the UAE has a tolerance for sorcery and witchcraft. The UAE abides by Islamic laws and practicing magic is forbidden. Acts of deceit and sorcery are a crime punishable under Federal Decree-Law No. 31 of 2021.

The UAE Public Prosecution sentenced 7 people to 6 months in prison and fined them AED50,000 for practising sorcery and deception

The UAE Public Prosecution received a petition from an individual who fell victim to deception and to the schemes of the defendants who claimed they could “heal people”

The suspects all claimed they were possessed by jinns that could help and cure people. One of the suspects said he had a 400-year-old jinn inside him

the 7 people were sentenced to 6 months in prison and fined AED50,000 for practising sorcery and deception, and possessing materials used for black magic.
