Dubai Enhances Residential Area Road Infrastructure and Drainage

Mayar Ibrahim

RTA Dubai is enhancing road infrastructure, street lighting and drainage in certain residential areas in the city. Also, this project is in response to the directives of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the instructions of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The RTA completed 72% of construction in 4 different residential areas in Dubai

They completed construction in Margham, Lehbab, Al Lisaili, and Hatta with a total distance of 38 km. Furthermore, it reflects RTA’s commitment to upgrading the infrastructure of roads, streetlights, and rainwater drainage systems in residential communities.

Enhancing residential areas’ road infrastructure and drainage is crucial for ensuring the safety and convenience of residents. Moreover, properly designed and maintained roads and drainage systems not only improve daily mobility but also reduce the risk of flooding and infrastructure damage during adverse weather conditions. Therefore contributing to the overall well-being of the community.
