The crowd had been anticipating Floyd Mayweather’s return to the ring this past May 14th at the Global Titans event, which was scheduled to take place in Dubai and was abruptly postponed to another date.

This announcement followed the recent death of the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

All the Mayweather fans should not fret though! As the return of the undefeated fighter to the ring is postponed and not cancelled, to a date yet to be announced! Global Titans, promoter of the fight and the event, announced that it will be rescheduled to another date.

This saddening event has resulted in the nation being forced to cancel the event followed by The UAE’s Ministry of Presidential Affairs announcing a three-day suspension of work for both ministries and the private sector.
