According to the Police, the driver in the footage committed several offenses, including the sudden lane switch and not maintaining a safe distance.

The video shows how a motorist who suddenly shifted lanes had it collide in between two cars, leading vehicle behind to spin off the highway

The fine for sudden change of lanes without using indicators is AED400, as announced by the Abu Dhabi Police in March 2022

In January alone, it was reported that 16,378 motorists had been fined in Abu Dhabi roads during 2021 for not using indicators or turning signals while changing lines.

Dubai residents could relate to the occurrence, claiming it is something they witness on the daily.
