A total of 2,500 residents in the UAE were granted golden visas, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Dubai Media Office confirms that this is the first batch of residents to receive the golden visas.
Golden visas are long-term visas being granted to residents who impact the country, it acts as an award to cultivate the talent, innovators and creatives in the country.
2,500 scientists, doctors, researchers and innovators were given the golden visa, with HH Sheikh Mohammed, the Ruler of Dubai, present as well as Crown Prince of Dubai, HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
