In a tragic update, two pilots have been officially confirmed as deceased following the helicopter crash that occurred off the coast of the UAE last weekend.
A Bell 212 medium helicopter, with an Egyptian and a South African pilot on board, took off from Dubai’s Al Maktoum International Airport for a nighttime training session. The incident is said to have occurred in the Arabian Gulf, off the coast of Dubai, at 8:30 pm.
A statement from the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) was posted on their Instagram, confirming finding one of the plane’s crew who had passed away as a result from the accident.
