Drive carefully and slowly

This one is a no-brainer. PLUS The fog is a great excuse to show up late to work, promise!

Tips to drive carefully:

  • For your safety and that of others while driving in the fog, use your vehicle signals when necessary to warn vehicles coming from behind.
  • Do not drive with high beam lights as it reduces visibility, instead drive with your fog lights on.
  • If it is foggy outside and you have to stop your car, park on the side of the road away from passing cars and ensure to turn your hazard lights on.
  • When driving in foggy weather, relieve pressure on the accelerator and use the brakes if necessary.

Stay to the right side of your lane

Yup, stay in your lane folks. No one is mightier than mother nature herself.

For a safe and comfortable drive during foggy weather conditions, stay to the right side of your lane to stay clear from vehicles coming from the opposite direction.

Ensure you have your fog lights on

Nobody likes to be kept blind, especially not those in the driver’s seat.

When driving in the fog, keep an eye on your speed and ensure you have your fog lights on, for a safe journey.

Don’t get distracted

While the last sight you see before an accident could be a cute dog, I promise you it is not worth more than your life.
