Indians have the highest population of all nationalities in the UAE. They’ve been calling the UAE their home for more than 50 years. And although it’s an Islamic country, it’s also one of the most tolerant in the Arab world. Just a few weeks ago a grand Hindu Temple was built in Dubai.

But today is another celebration because October 24 marks the first day of Diwali when families gather and pray. If you visit the Bur Dubai neighbourhood, you’ll see the streets and balconies fully decked out in Diwali decorations and beautiful lights.

And the Dubai leader is wishing everyone who celebrates, a very happy Diwali
