It’s a week of firsts for the UAE as Hazzaa Al Mansouri nears completion of his space mission, a landmark moment for himself and Emiratis as he is the first countryman ever to make the journey to the ISS.
The journey concludes tomorrow, Hazzaa is expected to return on Thursday at 4pm but he continues to make the most of his time onboard; along with his the science experiments he’s conducting, he’s also teaching the crew about Emirati culture, and for the very first time someone has worn national UAE dress onboard the International Space Station… what a moment!
Dressed for the occasion! Delighted for the opportunity to share part of our Emirati culture with the crew aboard the ISS. pic.twitter.com/r7sZoRwS89
