Comedy Legend Khalid Al Ameri Gets Candid About His Weight Loss Journey

You know him for sure, you’ve seen his reels and TikToks, you’ve met his wife and kids, Khalid Al Ameri is a comedy legend. What you might not have known is that this entire time he was on a weight loss journey.

He used to film, edit and publish videos for a job in 2016. Due to the stress and nature of the job, he was reward himself with any type of food and at anytime he wanted. And exercising? No time for it of course. But Khalid decided to turns his life around.

Khalid Al Ameri shared a post detailing his weight loss journey to better his life

Khalid Al Ameri wanted to be physically happy as much as he was emotionally happy

Although he was happy and started becoming a better video maker and a more present husband and father, his health was struggling. He realised the issue when he’d be out of breath from chasing his kids up the stairs during a game of tag.

Sure it’s fun to lay into a pizza and watch Netflix until you fall asleep, but Khalid wanted to enjoy the things he was building in his life. He was happy emotionally and wanted that to match physically too!

It wasn’t until he met celebrity trainer Yasir Khan, that he decided to make a change. Khan took control of all the workout regimens and wanted Khalid to focus on the mental part of the transformation.

As of today, Khalid Al Ameri lost 20kgs!! Colour me impressed!

We set goals together and made a plan, which I stuck to no matter what, I never missed a workout or cheated on my diet. For those who are curious about the training, it was six days a week, cardio for 1.5 hours in the morning, and 1.5 hours weight training in the afternoon, cheat meals were only given when we hit a specific target weight (this hurt)

Khalid wrote.

Although he is happy with the weight loss, he feels his mental strength is whats important. He dropped major FACTS saying there is no goal he cannot achieve if he sets a plan and gets to work. So long as you put your energy towards a greater change, whether its health, family, relationships, it can all be accomplished.
