Dubai Is Set To Charge AED25 Fils For Single-Use Plastic Bags Starting July 1

Starting July 1, all single-use plastic bags will be chargeable at the rate of AED25 fils in Dubai. Dubai aims to completely ban the use of such bags within two years.
All stores in retail and textile as well as electronic store, establishments, restaurants and pharmacies are required to now charge 25 fils on single-use bags at counters, according to the Executive Council of Dubai.

Even online deliveries have to abide by the charge tariff

The new tariff will undergo several stages until it reaches its main goal of completely banning single-use plastic bags in two years.

A great move for sustainability!
