That pink fit you’re planning out in your wardrobe is gonna have to wait.

The Barbie movie was initially set to release in July but has now been postponed to the end of August

The VOX cinema website says August 31.

People are shocked at the delay, and some even anticipate that the film will be banned in the region

Previously, films like Sony’s Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and Disney and Pixar’s Lightyear were banned in the country after a violation of the censorship guidelines.

The Barbie film has already been blocked in Vietnam and the Philippines is currently threatening to follow suit.

There are several speculations for why Barbie might be blocked, but there is no official statement from the media regulatory office 

Will it actually be banned? Only time will tell!

The #Barbie movie will most probably get banned in the Middle East, the new trend for banning a movie is pushing the release date closer to the global VOD release date then ban it, we saw this happen to Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse and recently Asteroid City.
