The Historic Dresden Opera Ball Comes To The UAE For The First Time

Dubai Opera will welcome the Dresden Opera Ball for the first time on November 15 and it’s set to be an elegant evening for the ages.

The Dresden Opera Ball needs no introduction, a premium gala event, stemming from the successful Semper Opera Ball, one of the largest classical balls in the world.

This will be a one-of-a-kind gala event. The night brings together the ‘king of opera’ Plácido Domingo (who had the honour of performing at the grand opening of Dubai Opera in 2016), Marina Rebeka, Riz Khan, Oksana Fedorova, The European Peace Chamber Orchestra Dresden, Igor Butman, Anton Lubchenko, Roman Lyulkin, and many more.

Dubai Opera presents a night of glamour, dancing and stirling entertainment at the Dresden Opera Ball

Following in the footsteps of the Semper Ball, the Dresden Opera Ball will feature a presentation by debutant couples, classical performances and dancing

The evening begins with a red carpet, no less! Followed by a debutant presentation, when ladies in spectacular gowns and gentlemen in stylish tuxedos will perform a choreographed dance presentation.

You’ll move inside for a gala dinner prepared by the Belcanto Restaurant, while you’re entertained by the world’s best musicians.The restaurant, nestled within Dubai Opera, serves up modern classic Italian cuisine. Expect elegant dancing in the style of traditional European balls in an evening that connects ‘cultural and artistic icons from the European and Arab worlds.’

The evening will be hosted by leading broadcaster and author Riz Khan and former Miss Universe Oksana Fedorova. Businesswoman and philanthropist Hikmat Al Kaitoob is the official representative of the evening’s festivities and the VIP guest list includes HE Mariam bint Mohammed Saeed Hareb Almheiri, Minister of Climate Change and Environment of the UAE… and you!
