SUCCESS! Two Dubai residents joined two of their friends to embark on a tough journey across the Pacific Ocean for a good cause

This is no easy task, but the four men accomplished a 39-day row across the Pacific Ocean, joining the ranks of only 82 people who have completed it. They REMARKABLY rowed 2,800 miles through difficult conditions. They had to battle cold weather and test their physical endurance to reach their goal.

Their mission extended beyond personal achievement, as they raised funds and awareness for protecting our ocean in partnership with Blue Marine Foundation. They also supported the Invictus Games Foundation, using the power of sport to inspire recovery and support rehabilitation of wounded, injured or sick servicemen & women.

Paris Norriss was amongst the rowers and is known for his ‘Guy in Dubai’ series; a TV show covering the thrills of the UAE

‘Our friendship served as an anchor through every challenge, and we discovered the true essence of teamwork.’ is what Paris stated after the team navigated the vast expanse of the Pacific together. The 4 friends have become ‘brothers’ in what would definitely be a make or break type of situation!

The team documented their journey and trained throughout the Dubai Fitness Challenge last November

‘The arrival of our R45 elite Ocean Rowing boat means the challenge has really started. We will be rowing 4800km across the Pacific Ocean for around 40 days, through potential hurricanes, giants waves and friendly creatures in the water’
