The UAE Is Saying Goodbye To The Al Hosn App And Masks Starting November 7

Farah Makhlouf

It’s November but it feels like Christmas because NCEMA has finally made all our wishes come true with a simple news announcement!

On November 6, NCEMA held a government media briefing where they made a huge announcement that was also shared on Twitter.

All major UAE COVID-19 restrictions have been completely dropped

Yes, this applies to Abu Dhabi too!

Masks? Al Hosn App? PCR tests? Isolation? All your questions have been answered

So, wearing masks is now optional in all indoor and outdoor areas including places of worship; however, it must be worn at health facilities and centers for people of determination.

Al Hosn App will be used as your vaccination and PCR test indicator if you’re travelling and the destination you’re going to requires it. It will no longer be needed to access places (we’re talking to you Abu Dhabi residents!)

Those who test positive for COVID-19 must isolate for 5 days!
