The UAE Strongly Condemns The Burning Of Churches And Dozens Of Homes In Pakistan

Angry mobs ransacked and burned churches and Christian homes in Jaranwala, Pakistan, on the grounds of alleged desecration of the Holy Qur’an by two men in the town

Following this terrible incident, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement condemning and denouncing the violent and extremist activities carried out by the mobs in the region. The Ministry highlighted the need to respect religious symbols and called for tolerance and peaceful coexistence.

It also extended its moral support and commendation to the Pakistani government for implementing effective measures to counter these criminal acts.

As reported by the Ministry, it also affirmed the “UAE’s permanent rejection of all practices aimed at undermining security and stability in contravention of human and moral values and principles,” and stressed that hate speech and extremism contradict international efforts to spread the values of tolerance, coexistence and peace among peoples.
