The UAE Will Not Be Affected By Cyclone Biparjoy Forming In The Arabian Sea

Phew! The UAE National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has stated that the Tropical situation forming in the Arabian Sea will not cause any adverse impacts on the UAE.

The Tropical Situation developing in the Arabian Sea is Cyclone Biparjoy- a category 1 cyclone with wind speeds of 120-130 km/hr as of June 7

The NCM is closely monitoring the situation on an hourly basis.

Oman’s meteorology office has stated that there can be minor impacts on the coastal regions

So far the office has predicted high clouds, fog patches, and dust storms in the region.

 

Cyclone Biparjoy will have an impact on weather conditions in other Asian countries like India, Bangladesh, Iran, and Pakistan

The countries are all on alert and expecting delayed monsoons, rainfall and even landfall.

Pronounced as ‘Biporjoy’, this Bangla name recommended by Bangladesh means ‘disaster.’
