The Covid-19 numbers have been spiking rapidly and travel restrictions have started to return. Travel abroad is looking at some new guidelines!

The announcement was made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority.

Unvaccinated citizens will not be allowed to travel abroad from January 10

If you’re fully vaccinated and wish to travel abroad, a booster shot will be mandatory

You are able to take a third booster shot after 6 months from receiving the second dose of the vaccine.

There are exemptions, however; the rule does not apply to those who are not eligible for the vaccine for medical purposes, humanitarian cases, and those who are travelling for medical and treatment purposes.

Dr. Farida Al Hosani, a government health spokeswoman, cautioned against travelling abroad since November 2021.
