With the summer heat beating down, it is important to keep in mind that the car is not the place to leave children unattended. Furthermore, the consequences of such negligence can be catastrophic. This is due to the soaring temperatures inside the vehicle that can rapidly escalate. Additionally, authorities penalise parents with up to AED5k in fines and/or imprisonment.

This highly preventable situation calls for heightened awareness and responsible parenting. Additionally, understanding the dangers and potential risks is crucial to ensure their safety and well-being.

Parents who leave their children locked in a car in the summer can receive a penalty of up to AED5k in fines

Dubai Police stated:

Leaving children alone in the car exposes them to an inevitable and potentially-life threatening risk. This is due to the soaring temperatures inside the vehicle that may lead to suffocation.

Also, according to UAE law, leaving a child unattended in a car will lead to your imprisonment and/or up to AED5k in fines.
