Visa Extension Cancelled: Here’s The Timeline For Applying For Your New Visa

This weekend, it was announced the UAE Cabinet had issued an amended grace period for all residents with expired visas.

Now, the ICA has clarified the dates for which you can apply for renewal depending on when your visa expired.

The timeline includes information for expired residency visas and Emirates IDs, Lovin Dubai has reached out to the authorities for further information on visit visas.

Services will resume from today, the move is in support of the business community as we see the gradual return to normality in many sectors

From today, the process for renewing visas begins again. Take note of the following dates for which the ICA will begin arranging new visas

Residency visas and Emirates IDs expired in March 2020 – The ICA will accept renewal requests from 12/07

Residency visas and Emirates IDs expired in April 2020 – 12/07

Residency visas and Emirates IDs expired in May 2020 – 11/08

Residency visas and Emirates IDs expired in June 2020 – 10/09

Residency visas and Emirates IDs expired on July 1 until July 11, 2020 – 10/09

Residency visas and Emirates IDs expired after 11 July, 2020 – Not restricted to a certain date

Take note: Administrative fees and fines will be issued to those who surpass the deadlines, there are grace periods, read them here.
