5 Eid Adventures You Can Get Involved In That Won’t Cost You The Earth

Avatar

Eid Al Adha might just mean we get a five-day break, thanks to the likelihood of Arafat falling on Tuesday, August 22.

Which means, it’s perfectly positioned for an adventure – whether it’s around here or further abroad.

But it’s also the week before pay day so doesn’t mean you can afford to jet off to the Maldives and drop the cash (hey, if you can, all the power to you…it’s worth it if you can), so we’ve compiled a list of cash-saving ideas for you this Eid Al Adha.

1. Staycay in Dubai

Vacays can be just as relaxing when chilling in Dubai. It means you don’t have to battle with airport traffic, you don’t have to worry about visas, currency exchange and all that.

Lapita Hotels and Resorts is offering a night’s stay in a deluxe twin room – for two adults and two children for AED1,800. The package includes:

  • Overnight stay
  • Complimentary Polynesian themed amenities for the whole fam
  • ‘Limbo Fun’ dance class and hula hoop class
  • Two complimentary cocktails or mocktails at Lani rooftop bar for all
  • Two complimentary 30 minute Lomi Lomi massages

2. Glamping

If you aren’t keen on a hotel – why not head out to the desert and go desert camping?

Or…glamping!

3. Staycay in RAK

Ras Al Khamiah is a popular Dubai escape thanks to its easy proximity, its plentiful, reasonably priced hotels, and lovely spanning beaches.

For European-style villas – try Cove Rotana, for grandeur, the Waldorf, and for party fun, Hilton has Trader Vic’s – get amongst it!

4. A roadtrip to Muscat

Muscat is just five-six hours away from Dubai, and with such gorgeous countryside – rocky mountains, rolling gorges – it makes for a nice drive. Why not pack up the car and hit up Oman for a couple of nights – exploring the old-world seaside village and it’s magical corners.

5. A long weekend in India

Mumbai is (as of this the time of writing this article) one of the cheapest destinations to skip away to from DXB (check Skyscanner.net). Take the short 3hr flight over to Bombay to get a taste of India’s most colourful city.

K go!
