Dubai Advertising Agencies Have Won Cannes Lions Awards For Campaigns Involving Potatoes And Camels

The world’s most creative people (they think they are anyway) gathered in the south of France last week for some inspiration, back slapping, rose and to ponder the future of their industry. 

Dubai was represented with many leading industry figures in attendance, and, reflective of the great talent in our city, their work over the past twelve months was also recognized. Here are 5 winning campaigns from Dubai.

1. Memac Ogilvy’s Dubai  won a silver lion for a campaign called ‘Potatoes On Mars’ for CIP 

The agency was awarded in the Innovation Lions category. 

2. Another Dubai-based agency, The Classic Partnership, won for their work with Medcare

This‘Footnote For The Breast’ was awarded a Bronze Lion in the Direct category.

3. A video we loved was Careem’s ‘The Better Way To Get Around’ campaign, it’s agency, Misfits, won a Bronze Lion in the Media category

4. Top creative agency, TBWA/Raad won a Silver Lion for Nissan’s Camel Power in the Media Lions Category

5. The Inter-religious Council of Bosnia & Herzegovina commissioned Y&R Dubai To Create ‘One Book For Peace’ And It Won A Gold In The Design Lions category.
