Of all the projects on the horizon, it’s fair to say that the most excitement is around Dubai Parks & Resorts . With a final opening date soon to be announced, word on the street is that the place can be ready by October but the Sheikh is still deciding whether to have the official opening this year or early next year. The success of this new attraction is key to Dubai’s ambitious target of reaching 20 million visitors by 2020 (up from circa 15 million in 2016)

From the official site: ‘The resort is spread across 25 million square feet and includes 3 theme parks and a water park – motiongate™ Dubai, Bollywood Parks™ Dubai, LEGOLAND® Dubai and the LEGOLAND® Water Park. It will have over 100 rides and attractions and a 503 key hotel as well as a retail, dining and entertainment district that ties the entire resort together.’
