After failing to guide his team to automatic promotion in the Arabian Gulf League, Diego Maradona, the Argentinian coach of Al Fujairah left his job and the country on April 27.

His lawyer, Matias Morla, confirmed the same on Twitter in April, “after today’s draw and not having achieved the goal of ascending (promotion) to Fujairah, Diego Maradona will no longer be the team coach,” Morla tweeted in Spanish.

He also added that “the decision was made in common agreement.”

As it turns out, Diego Maradona looks solid as far as his career is concerned because the 57-year old former footballer has now been announced as chairman of Belarusian club Dynamo Brest.

His contract with the club is valid till 2021

The team confirmed his appointment on social media, they tweeted: “Yes, Diego is with us. Legendary football player Diego Armando Maradona signed a three-year contract with the football club, Dynamo Brest, and took office as chairman of the club’s board.”

Meanwhile, Abdullah Misfir, the former UAE and Jordan national team manager, has replaced Diego Maradona as the coach of Fujairah.
