5 Of Dubai’s Most Hipster Eateries That You Should Definitely Try

Avatar

Hipster: a person who follows the latest trends and fashions, especially those regarded as being outside the cultural mainstream.

OR

Someone who instagrams their food, drinks fancy coffees (coffee snobs n all), likes exposed brick and industrial decor and wears flannel shirts.

Jokes.

But seriously, there are some awesome cafes in town that are oh-so-hipster and you should definitely give them a crack.

1. Tom & Serg, Al Quoz

Dubai’s original hipster joint, mason jars for drinks, denim aprons for the wait-staff and plenty of exposed concrete, Tom & Serg has all the right ingredients for a hipster cafe… and some great food too.

2. Urth by Nabz, JLT

This cute little eatery in JLT has only just opened this year, and serves up an excellent vegan-friendly menu and some super-healthy juices. The name should be a dead-giveaway it’s hipster, and there are sweet little fairy-lights at night giving it a lovely ambiance.

3. Cereal Killer Cafe, Dubai Mall

You didn’t think we could make a list like this and not include Dubai Mall’s cereal cafe? Retro cereals, quirky crockery and freaky sized milkshakes tick all the boxes!

4. Pineapple Express, JLT

The Aussie health brand that does some of the best acai bowls in town does a mean avocado on toast, and some rather fancy coffees. Plus it’s Australian so….

5. Arrows and Sparrows, The Greens

Sister-cafe of Friends Avenue in JLT, with smears of beetroot hummus, sprinkles of chia seeds and mason jars with colourful straws, it’s all about the hipster vibes at this cafe.
