One of the problems of living in Dubai is food. Wait! It’s not that we don’t get enough of it or it isn’t good enough.
The problem is that we’re too spoiled for choice. Not one, not two but around four restaurants open up in the city each day.
According to figures shared by Dubai Municipality, 500 restaurants opened in 2014 and 1,540 opened in 2015. In fact, 2,074 restaurants have opened in Dubai in the last 18 months.
This is not just restaurants, but also cafeterias and coffee shops. For a city this size, it’s a huge number.
Wanting to order dishes after seeing drool-worth images on Instagram and Snapchat is totally understandable!
Extreme competition sometimes forces restaurants that can’t cope up out of business. Many things come into play if restaurants want to get it right – concept, quality, service, location, pricing among others.
