Liverpool F.C. have done it!
Madrid was a sea of red yesterday for the final of the Champions League which saw Liverpool defeat Totteham Hotspur F.C 2-0 to take home their sixth ever title.
Their first win since 2005, fans are beside themselves and it’s all down to two goals; Mohamed Salah in the second minute from a penalty and a late one in the 87th minute from Divock Origi to seal the deal.
Giving the team an early lead, the Liverpool star player (and Egypt’s golden boy) knocked in a penalty in the second minute after a hand ball making it one of the earliest goals in Champion’s League Final history.
“I have sacrificed a lot for my career, to come from a village to go to Cairo, and to be an Egyptian at this level is unbelievable for me.”
Mohamed Salah
