Immigration at DXB could get a whole lot easier with new technologies the airport is working on. 

According to The Telegraph, Dubai International Airport has partnered with a facial recognition software firm to implement new systems that mean travellers’ faces will act as their passport. 

British firm ObjectTech will be working with the airport to implement a ‘biometric border’ a system that scan people’s faces as they walk through to baggage claim

It will then compare the scans to digital passports stored on the system, which comes from the electronic chip in physical passports. 

The software is expected to be rolled out later this year.
