The Dubai Brunch Scene Has Got A Different Style This Season

Avatar

For many years in Dubai, brunches were brunches. They were a big food a drink party during the day. The place you celebrated your birthday with a group of friends, or where you brought visitors and family. There were a somewhat affordable way to have a good time, as opposed to purchasing individual expensive drinks on a night out.

You could list the main ones on two hands…

Al Qasr, Bubbalicious, Saffron, Mina Salam on one hand, then party ones Yalumna, Warehouse etc. There were many best brunches lists but they all seemed same same.

About a year ago, there was a shift.

The high end restaurants started doing Brunches to get the crowds in. Novikov, Jean George, Gaucho etc. These were a different kind of brunch. More of a all you can eat a drink, seated long lunch with live music.

Now, however, as a new season hits Dubai, there is a new kind of brunch on offer.

A hybrid between the two types of brunches, instead of 150 or a 1000 people, this is a more manageable 300 people,

It’s got that tick the box attitude to it, where you can bring out of towers but it’s also got a more intimate and quality food to it too.

The likes of W Hotel Level Seven Feed Me brunch, Secret Garden Brunch In JW Marriott, of Get Brunched in Indie DIFC which launched last week.

You can now add The City Brunch in the very new Westin Al Habtoor City Hotel to your list of options…

There is a lady on a saxophone, a few clowns, a live DJ and even a lady dancing out of a cocktail glass, plenty to keep kids and adults entertained!
