‘It’s like calling the Super Bowl, the Super Cup’

As you may have noticed, Euro 2016 or The UEFA European Championships to give it its official name, or the Euros for short, is taking place in France at the moment. It’s been a very popular tournament in Dubai so far with fans either supporting their home nations or adopting teams for the tournament. However, many people are calling it the Eurocup. That’s like calling The Wimbledon Championships: the Wimbledon Cup; or calling the Super Bowl: the Super Cup. If in doubt, just call it the Euros.
